Is it free?
Yes. The tools are ad-supported and free to use, with generous limits (currently up to 200 MB per file on the converter).
What happens to my files?
Your upload is deleted the moment it has been converted — it is never kept once it has served its purpose. The converted result is removed right after you download it, and within minutes even if you never do. We never share your files or use them for anything other than producing your download.
Do I need to install anything or sign up?
No. Everything runs in your browser — no downloads, no account.
What links can I paste?
A link to a video or audio page, or a direct link to a media file. Paste it, pick MP3 or MP4, and MediaForge pulls the audio or video and converts it. You are responsible for having the right to convert what you submit — see our Copyright & Acceptable Use Policy.
What formats and file sizes are supported?
The converter accepts common video and audio inputs — MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI, MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG and FLAC — up to 200 MB per file. You can export MP3 audio (128, 192 or 320 kbps) or repackage into an MP4 container with no re-encode, so quality is untouched.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. MediaForge runs in any modern browser on a phone, tablet, or computer — there's nothing to install and nothing to keep updated.
Why do I see ads, or a message about my ad blocker?
Ads are the only thing paying for the servers that run your conversions — there's no account or paywall. We keep them to plain banners: no pop-ups over your download, and your file is never held behind one. Allowing ads on MediaForge is what keeps it free.
