Copyright & Acceptable Use Policy

This policy explains what you may and may not do with MediaForge, and how to report misuse. It forms part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service. MediaForge provides the technical means to convert media; it does not grant you any rights in the content you convert.

You are responsible for what you convert

You may use MediaForge only with media you have a lawful basis to convert — content you created or own, content you are licensed or permitted to use, public-domain material, content offered under a licence that permits your use (such as Creative Commons), or content you are otherwise legally entitled to copy. Deciding whether you have that right is your responsibility, not ours. Converting a file to another format does not change the copyright or other rights in the underlying work.

What you may not use MediaForge for

• Copyrighted media you do not own and are not licensed or otherwise entitled to use.
• Content protected by DRM or other technical protection measures, or any attempt to bypass such measures, encryption, paywalls, authentication, or access controls.
• Content obtained through stolen or unauthorized credentials, cookies, tokens, or keys.
• Any use that violates the law or infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights of another person.
• Content from a service whose terms prohibit downloading or converting it, where those terms legally bind you.

We do not pre-screen submissions

MediaForge does not screen, filter, or vet submissions by source, and does not determine whether you hold the rights to convert a particular file or link — that responsibility is yours. We do not condone using MediaForge for any of the prohibited uses above. The fact that the Service can technically process a file, URL, or stream is not permission, approval, or a determination that your use is lawful.

Reporting infringement or unlawful content

If you are a rights holder or authorized representative, or you believe MediaForge is being used in connection with unlawful content, email legal@mediaforgetools.com (abuse and security reports may also go to abuse@mediaforgetools.com). Please include, where applicable:

1. identification of the work, right, or other legal interest involved;
2. the URL, source URL, file identifier, conversion identifier, or other information reasonably sufficient to identify the activity at issue;
3. an explanation of why the activity is alleged to be unlawful or unauthorized;
4. your name and contact information;
5. a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and submitted in good faith; and
6. where you act for a rights holder, evidence of your authority to do so.

We may request additional information where reasonably necessary to evaluate a report. We review reports we receive and respond as we consider appropriate; we do not set out specific enforcement steps here.

No affiliation with third-party platforms

MediaForge is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any third-party website, platform, or rights holder whose content may be compatible with the Service. All third-party names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
